Teaching at Noble Street

“I was drawn to Noble by the consistent and high expectations for all students. Noble defies that culture of low expectations that exists in so many schools across our city and country. Each day our students experience exceptional teaching, emotional support and are challenged both academically and personally.”   - Ellen Metz, Noble Street Assistant Principal

Noble Street College Prep is an amazing place to teach, because of our incredible students and outstanding colleagues.  Our co-founders, Mr. and Mrs. Milkie have been here since the beginning: 15 years!  Ms. Hathaway has been teaching here for 14 years. Ms. Probst is in her 13th year, and Mr. Adams is in his 12th year at Noble’s original campus. Our principal, Mr. Olsen, taught here for four years and is now in his eighth year as principal. We also have a teacher who will be starting his teaching career with us next year. Our staff has a diverse range of experiences.

At Noble Street, our Dean of Instruction is Ross Hunefeld. He works with teachers as a thought partner and a resource, helping them with instructional puzzles. He was a Teach for America Program Director, and is in his 11th year at Noble Street. He works with teachers to assist them as they solve the problems they encounter, and he coordinates our professional learning communities (PLCs). Through those PLCs, we have been able to push thinking at our campus in many important areas.
